The Internet is littered with stories of “chemtrails” and geoengineering to combat “global warming” and until recently I took these stories with a grain of salt. One of the main reasons for my skepticism was that I rarely saw what they were describing in the skies. But over the past several years I have notice a great number of these trails and I have to admit they are not like the contrails I grew up seeing in the skies. They are extensive, quite broad, are laid in a definite pattern and slowly evolve into artificial clouds. Of particular concern is that there are now so many dozens every day are littering the skies.

My major concern is that there is evidence that they are spraying tons of nanosized aluminum compounds. It has been demonstrated in the scientific and medical literature that nanosized particles are infinitely more reactive and induce intense inflammation in a number of tissues. Of special concern is the effect of these nanoparticles on the brain and spinal cord, as a growing list of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s dementia, Parkinson’s disease and Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS) are strongly related to exposure to environmental aluminum.

Nanoparticles of aluminum are not only infinitely more inflammatory, they also easily penetrate the brain by a number of routes, including the blood and olfactory nerves (the smell nerves in the nose). Studies have shown that these particles pass along the olfactory neural tracts, which connect directly to the area of the brain that is not only most effected by Alzheimer’s disease, but also the earliest affected in the course of the disease. It also has the highest level of brain aluminum in Alzheimer’s cases.

I pray that the pilots who are spraying this dangerous substance fully understand that they are destroying the life and health of their families as well. This is also true of our political officials. Once the soil, plants and water sources are heavily contaminated there will be no way to reverse the damage that has been done.

“Be Prepared!” – The Ant and the Grasshopper

While there may be three million Americans preparing for a paradigm shift which promises to change our very way of life, that leaves roughly 99% of our population that has failed to take any serious steps to insulate themselves from catastrophe. Earlier this week we asked,
“How Horrific Will It Be For the Non-Prepper?”, in which we detailed the disastrous consequences that await those who will get blindsided by a widespread natural or man-made disaster. Hopefully, that article will be enough to convince some “non-preppers” to start putting their well-being into their own hands by developing personal and familial preparedness and response plans for far-from-equilibrium scenarios that may strike at anytime.

“The ‘Big Bang’ was a firecracker lit by God.” ~ Prof. Crane

Sheldrake questions in his new book many of science’s basic ‘truths’, which are revealed, with splendid irony, to be either assumptions or, heaven forbid, beliefs. That the Universe began with a Big Bang has been orthodoxy since the 1960s, but it is actually a theory, and one that raises as many questions as it provides answers. Sheldrake does not dispute the theory but compares it to religious creation myths, all of which begin with an initial act of creation by God; the Big Bang theory is different only in that God has been removed from the story. One of the basic tenets of physics is the law of conservation of matter and energy, which asserts that neither can be created or destroyed: the amount of matter and energy in the Universe is always the same. Except of course, in the primal singularity of the Big Bang, when the Universe appeared from nothing, violating all of science’s laws. Sheldrake quotes Terence McKenna: “It’s almost as if science said, ‘Give me one free miracle, and from there the entire thing will proceed with a seamless, causal explanation.’”

Is Nature Mechanical?, the mechanistic theory was intended to be a metaphor but has come to be taken literally. Living organisms are not automata, a fact that is patently obvious to any cat or dog owner; few readers would regard themselves as a genetically programmed machine in a mechanical Universe. As Sheldrake puts it: “Most of us feel we are truly alive in a living world – at least at weekends.” Two of his questions to materialists are: “Do you think that you yourself are nothing but a complex machine?” and “Have you been programmed to believe in materialism?”

Most physicists believe that only about four per cent of the mass and energy in the Universe is conventional; the remaining 96 per cent is made up of ‘dark matter’ and ‘dark energy’, about which nothing is known. Gravitation should be slowing down the expansion of the Universe, but observations made in the mid-1990s showed that it is actually speeding up. The continued expansion of the Universe is now believed to be driven by dark energy, which is reckoned to account for 73 per cent of the Universe’s total mass-energy. In the current model, the amount of dark energy may be increasing, counteracting the gravitational pull that should make the Universe contract, driving its expansion in an apparently continuous process of creation. This should not be possible, but the conservation laws apply only to the four per cent of ‘standard’ matter and energy, not necessarily to the mysterious remaining 96 per cent. In the light of modern cosmology, asks Sheldrake, how can anyone possibly be sure that the total amount of matter and energy has always been the same?

The reliability of another of science’s ‘constants’ is also doubtful: the speed of light may not be as constant as we have been led to believe. “When I investigated this some years ago,” Sheldrake tells me, “I came to realise that although the speed of light is assumed to be constant and precisely known, there is evidence to suggest otherwise. The speed of light is measured regularly, in university laboratories all around the world, and each comes up with slightly different results. The final figure is arrived at by a committee of expert metrologists who average the ‘best’ results and arrive at a consensus. But this is not based on all the results they are supplied with; some are discarded, either because they differ too much from what is expected or because their source is not considered totally reliable.”

The constancy of the speed of light is regarded as sacrosanct among physicists. When alleged ‘faster than light’ neutrinos made world news last summer, the celebrated Professor Brian Cox explained the issue in layman’s terms for BBC radio. Adamant that the speed of light is a “universal speed limit” that can never be exceeded, he came up with a neat analogy. If an aeroplane were to travel from London to Australia at this absolute maximum speed, there would be no way of making the journey any faster. Apart from, he added, digging a tunnel through the Earth and taking a shortcut. So you see, declared Cox cheerfully, the neutrinos are not necessarily travelling any faster than light – they may be simply taking a shortcut through another dimension! To a non-physicist, it seems surprising that experts find it easier to accept a universe of multiple dimensions (which is possible, but only theoretical) than to question scientific dogma.

Sheldrake quotes Ricky Gervais, who naïvely claims that: “Science is humble… It doesn’t get offended when new facts come along.”

Since the Enlightenment of the 18th century, the world of science has professed to operate in “an open-minded spirit of enquiry” but this is rarely true in practice; any modern research programme is under a good deal of pressure to not produce unexpected or unwanted results. Making waves by questioning accepted dogma is simply not on. Rupert Sheldrake may well be correct in his assertion that something fundamental has been ignored by science – it could even be something as important as gravity. But unless science comes to practise the open-mindedness that it preaches, we may never know. As Sheldrake writes:

“In the Enlightenment ideal, science was a path to knowledge that would transform humanity for the better. Science and reason were the vanguard. These were, and still are, wonderful ideals, and they have inspired scientists for generations. They inspire me. I am all in favour of science and reason if they are scient-ific and reasonable. But I am against granting scientists and the materialist worldview an exemption from critical thinking and sceptical investigation. We need an enlightenment of the Enlightenment.”

When We Stop Being Divided…We’ll Stop Being Ruled

(NOTE: It shouldn’t be about the “Left” vs. the “Right.” It’s all about “We the People” (the 99%) vs. the “Globalists!”)

It has long been my view that the ‘Left’ never picked up the ball in the first place in terms of an understanding of world affairs. It has always positioned itself by manipulated design as a polarity to the ‘Right’. The Control System needs polarised positions and groups to trigger the essential ‘class struggle’, more accurately known as divide and rule.

The Left has been extremely reluctant to even research, never mind encompass, the global conspiracy because to do so would demolish its very collective self-identity and world-view of ‘us’ against ‘them’. It would mean to acknowledge that the same force manipulates though ‘us’ and ‘them’ and thus to accept that they have been ‘had’. Few appear willing to go through that mental purge, and thus emotional catharsis, and open their minds to the truth that they have so long denied and often ridiculed.

What is happening at the moment with the emphasis on protest against individual governments is another form of divide and rule because unless we know how the game is played – globally – how on earth are we going to effectively respond to it?

Those that protest at NATO and G8 summits have a better idea of the global scope and even more so those who turn up to meetings of the Bilderberg Group, a strand in the network that has worked for decades to impose world government and all the other ‘trimmings’ of global control. NATO and the G8 are the outer limit that most of the political ‘Left’ will go in acknowledging the global coordination of world events. I saw that anti-war activist David Swanson asked in an article this week why the G8 and NATO summits attract thousands of demonstrators while Bilderberg is largely ignored by those of the ‘Left’:

‘Do you have to be xenophobic, paranoid, isolationist, or libertarian to protest a secretive gathering of over 100 billionaires, industrialists, media barons, and politicians working to shape our public sphere, or has the left dropped the ball? Is it time for Occupy to step in?’

Canadian researchers find a simple cure for cancer, but major pharmaceutical companies are not interested.

Researchers at the University of Alberta, in Edmonton, Canada have cured cancer last week, yet there is a little ripple in the news or in TV. It is a simple technique using very basic drug. The method employs dichloroacetate, which is currently used to treat metabolic disorders. So, there is no concern of side effects or about their long term effects.

This drug doesn’t require a patent, so anyone can employ it widely and cheaply compared to the costly cancer drugs produced by major pharmaceutical companies.

Canadian scientists tested this dichloroacetate (DCA) on human’s cells; it killed lung, breast and brain cancer cells and left the healthy cells alone. It was tested on Rats inflicted with severe tumors; their cells shrank when they were fed with water supplemented with DCA. The drug is widely available and the technique is easy to use, why the major drug companies are not involved? Or the Media interested in this find?

Recently we are experiencing an intensive amount of solar activity on the Sun which is affecting both the Earth and Humans.

Exactly what is a solar flare and how does it affect us?

A solar flare is a magnetic storm on the Sun which appears to be a very bright spot and a gaseous surface eruption such as in the above photograph. Solar flares release huge amounts of high-energy particles and gases that are tremendously hot. They are ejected thousands of miles from the surface of the Sun.

I have noticed in my own research that solar activity is known to influence human consciousness. Solar flares affect the Central Nervous System (stomach lining), all brain activity (including equilibrium), along with human behaviour and all psycho-physiological (mental-emotional-physical) response. Solar flares can cause us to be nervous, anxiousness, worrisome, jittery, dizzy, shaky, irritable, lethargic, exhausted, have short term memory problems and heart palpitations, feel nauseous, queasy, and to have prolonged head pressure and headaches.

According to Mitch Battros – Earth Changes Media, “One of the best known prophecies/predictions of our Mayan elders is the message of a changing paradigm of our era. In the words of the Maya, it is said that we are now in a time of “change and conflict”. The change is coming from the ‘outside” in the way of weather, natural phenomena, celestial disturbance (sun flares) and manmade self-inflicted trauma. The conflict comes from the ‘inside’ in the way of personal challenge, grief, bewilderment, depression, anxiety, and fear. It is said we are “at the cross roads”. A time of choosing a new path, deciding on a new self and community direction, venturing into the unknown, finding our true identity of being. Others will choose to stay on the same road, stay with the familiar, and place great effort to maintain “predictability.”

The solar flares and photon waves are changing the fabric of our physical reality as they have a powerful effect on our physical cellular level, causing our cellular memories to awaken and clear. We often experience this as the body heating up in the form of “hot flashes.” Our lower emotions are low frequency energy stored in our cells from past experiences and traumas that we have encountered and never processed —so they become stored as cellular memories. Photon energy is a much higher frequency energy that pulls up the lower emotional frequency so it can calibrate to the higher frequency…. thus we find ourselves releasing these lower emotions of sadness and grief without knowing why. These spells will last for about twenty minutes and we are left wondering where these feelings came from out of the blue. The elements of our blueprint are interfaced in the cellular consciousness and when the blueprint is amplified through photon energies various elements of the blueprint leak into your consciousness and we begin to remember our soul’s purpose. We are pulled to make changes in our life but we don’t really realize why.

The interesting fact about this energy is that since it is of a higher frequency it creates the power of instant manifestation of our thoughts, which means whatever we think, we create instantly.

Photonic energy connects to our thoughts so it is important that we know what we want, rather than we don’t want, otherwise, we will manifest more of what we don’t want. If you are in the process of change and transformation this energy works well for you. On the other hand, if you are stuck in the past through victimization and anger, you will simply manifest more reasons to remain stuck in victimization until you are ready to release it.

As we scan the landscape across the entire planet, we see the scars and ravages of CONFLICT. Kali Yuga (aka the Iron Age) is the current age of humankind. Kali Yuga is known as the Age of Conflict. An age when strife and discord and dissension predominate across the land. Kali Yuga is also known as the Age of Quarrel.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise to anyone that the past five to six millennia of world history are defined by war. Naked wars of aggression, unending battles for scarce natural resources, civil wars, skirmishes around land disputes, inner city drug battlegrounds, etc. etc, etc.

Who among us has not been touched by war?

Who among us has not known someone who has been deeply scarred (physically, mentally or emotionally) by the ravages of war?

Is there even a single square inch on this planet that has not been raped, plundered and pillaged?

Since the very nature of the Kali Yuga is conflict, does it not make sense that war is the primary event taking place somewhere at any given moment?

When you understand this reality of the descending yugas and their purpose in the evolution of humankind, as well as the universe, the whole historical narrative starts to reveal itself more fully.

ORDO AB CHAO (Order Out Of Chaos)

Perhaps the proverbial statement “Order out of Chaos” describes better that any other what the prevailing experience is on Planet Earth during these interesting times. What better way to sow the seeds of chaos than to first sow the seeds of conflict. In this way the conflict is both controlled and easily managed so that true anarchy does not reign around the globe. It is controlled chaos which the Global Control Matrix cultivates and exploits at every turn of the planet.

“War has consistently served its masters in three ways which have no relevance in an enlightened civilization: (i) population control (ii) artificial creation of wealth for the plutocracy (iii) imposition of a tyrannical order in the wake of the chaos that always results from war.

There are, of course, many other declared wars whose battlegrounds are far from the traditional battlefields of armed conflict. The WAR on Drugs. The WAR on Poverty. The WAR on Crime. The WAR on AIDS. Just like the WAR on TERROR , all of these so called wars are entirely bogus and fabricated, as they all have consistently produced outcomes that are completely contrary to their stated purposes.

How so?

Because each of them has been designed, and engineered, to perpetuate and expand the status quo. The War on Drugs, for instance, was designed in part to ensure that the opium (and all of its profitable derivatives) flows freely and efficiently from the poppy fields of Afghanistan to the targeted markets in America and elsewhere. In this way, all clandestine US and foreign intelligence agencies/secrets services are able to fund their innumerable black operations without any congressional oversight or public scrutiny from the massive revenues generated that this perfectly controlled black market provides. Oh, yes, did we forget to mention that most of these black ops are actually wars as well. What a Racket?! As Major General Smedley Butler once proclaimed to the world in his book: WAR IS A RACKET.”

DIVIDE and CONQUER (aka as Divide and Rule)

There can be perfect peace in a region of the world and then out of nowhere someone perpetrates a false flag operation. The event known as 9/11 is the perfect example of such a divisive and conflict-causing false flag operation. This glaring example of state-sponsored terrorism committed by the US Government against its own citizens is as audacious and flagrant as it gets.

Clearly, 911 has been used as much as any other false flag event to divide the entire world community into two distinct camps. “You’re either with us, or against us” is the jingoistic slogan undergirding USA-style synthetic terrorism. Such fake justifications to go to war are routinely co-fabricated by the numerous alphabet soup secret agencies, as they are co-manufactured by their colluding secret societies. In the outworking of this fraudulent War on Terrorism can be seen all the signature points of the divide and conquer strategy. Unfortunately, it has worked like a charm for those at the peak of worldly power who employ these tactics to keep everyone, everywhere, off balance, all the time.

In order to fully comprehend the Divide and Conquer strategy, we can further dissect this highly consequential event known as 9/11, as well as those events which have been engineered in its aftermath. If you can come to understand 9/11, you can begin to apprehend the significance of just about anything that appears in the headlines of any of the mainstream media (MSM). Truly, the 9/11 false flag operation has served as a model of exactly how the Global Control Matrix works. It possesses all the hallmarks of what can go purposefully ‘wrong’ with a self-inflicted terrorist attack that was designed to go deliberatley ‘wrong’.

Hegelian Dialectic: Problem – Reaction – Solution

The Hegelian Dialectic (HD) is another critical part of the overall strategy of the Global Control Matrix (GCM) which must be understood if one is to be immune from its workings and effects. And again, 9/11 provides an exquisite illustration of how it is used with awesome results and far-reaching ramifications. Let’s take a closer look at this frequently used tactic of the New World Order. It’s being implemented daily with great consequences to our future, so it behooves us to recognize it and avoid its influences.

Using the 9/11 false flag operation as an example, let’s break the (HD) down as follows:

(1) Problem — First a problem is fabricated known as the government-sponsored 9/11 terrorist attacks on the USA homeland. The financial heart (WTC complex) and military brain (Pentagon) of the USA are strategically selected for destruction to elicit maximum visceral reaction.

(2) Reaction — Osama bin Laden is identified as the patsy; militant Islam is recognized as the enemy; an initial war is declared on innocent Afghanistan; a second war is declared against Iraq; an Axis of Evil is proclaimed; the War on Terror is inaugurated; the Homeland is fiercely protected and Patriotism is ramped up everywhere an American flag can be flown; the Clash of Civilizations has begun (You’re either with us or against us!)

(3) Solution — The Patriot Act (which comes out of nowhere) is then very conveniently presented to a shocked Congress and approved without being properly debated or read; the Department of Homeland Security is established swallowing up all other law enforcement and similar agencies; TSA implements the use of total body scanners; travel and visa restrictions are tightened up worldwide; a new security regime is established throughout federal, state, county and city jurisdictions; the taser becomes the new and preferred method of civilian intimidation; Free Speech and Civil Protest are diminished in favor of the emerging Police State.

As you can see, the effectiveness of the Hegelian Dialectic can be quite dramatic and rapidly executed. When planned over decades, engineered, coordinated and executed with such precision, it can transform a nation, culture or civilization virtually overnight. And so it has.

These days, all of us are experiencing an unprecedented level of stress in our lives. The number and degree of pressures operating at one time has never been so great. Because we are at the end of an age, not only does time compression start to really kick in, but so do a myriad of karmas coming back home to roost. During the present Age of Quarrel, those karmas most often manifest in the form of relationships, both harmonious and disharmonious. The Kali Yuga does present innumerable contexts for us to work out these relationship karmas very quickly and with finality.

Kali Yuga or the “Age of Quarrel” provides the perfect place and time in which we can come to terms with whomever we have a quarrel. It’s time to go after the root of it, resolve it, let go of it and move on to the next unresolved conflict that will most assuredly come knocking on our door. Remember, it is only destiny which has brought us and our many relationships to this precise moment in time. Therefore, the timing is perfect to confront all that piques us – on the inside – so that we can appropriately address it on the outside.

We certainly don’t want to come back to another Kali Yuga if we don’t have to, do we?!

“As within, so without.” This statement will guide us on our journey inward, so that we can better tailor our responses to the journey through the Kali Yuga in the outside world.

While the world’s eyes are on London in 2012, a spectacular alien invasion will take place at the Olympic stadium. Or so the public will think; it will actually be a hoax invasion, orchestrated by the New World Order as an excuse to stage a global coup d’etat. Terrified by the appearance of aliens, the world’s populace will surrender their civil liberties, and “they” – an array of elite cliques such as the Bilderberg group, the Freemasons, the Illuminati, and dynasties such as the English royal family, the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds – will have smoothly achieved their goal of a single world government, economy and religion.

Rearrange the four angular numerals of the bizarre 2012 Olympic logo design and it spells “zion.” This is a sign that the “Illuminati” plan to build the “New Jerusalem” right here in England’s “green and pleasant land,” just as Freemason William Blake’s 1804 poem predicted. The “dark satanic mills” of the Lea Valley will become the epicentre of the “New World Order.”

Blake’s poem was inspired by the apocryphal story that a young Jesus, accompanied by his uncle Joseph of Arimathea, travelled to the area that is now England and visited Glastonbury during Jesus’ lost years. The legend is linked to an idea in the Book of Revelation (3:12 and 21:2) describing a Second Coming, wherein Jesus establishes a “New Jerusalem” (“Heaven on Earth”).

The next giveaway is the street names around the Olympic site: Great Eastern Road, Carpenter’s Road, Angel Lane, Temple Mills Lane, Church Road – don’t they all seem a little biblical? Isn’t it strange that such a large patch of land has stood undeveloped in London all this time?

Prince William is the obvious choice for king of this New Jerusalem because of his royal bloodline, his birthday (the 21 June – the summer solstice) and the fact that he will be 30 years old in 2012, the year of the 30th Olympiad, or XXX in roman numerals. Numerology counts for a lot in these occult circles.

And as for the fake UFO invasion, the closing ceremony of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, in which a flying saucer landed in the stadium and an alien walked out and waved to the crowd. The staged spectacle, in which a blacked-out military helicopter lowered a model spaceship by cable into the Coliseum, did not prompt mass panic, but it has been interpreted as a warm-up. The advocates of “London Zion,” as the theory has become known, have been poring over London Olympics promotional videos and finding a lot of suspicious symbolism in them – flying saucers and other spaceship-like objects, lights in the skies, stadiums in flames, all-seeing eyes.

“The 2012 London Olympic Games closing ceremony shall witness a pre-planned ‘Alien Visitation” (“False Flag Operation”) alongside the anointment of an “End Times Messiah” (“Anti-Christ Prince William”) who will bring forth the “Totalitarian New World Order.”

(Well, at least that’s the script they’re working with. Expose it and Stop it!)

Fake Alien Invasion at the 2012 Olympics?

False Flag operations are incidents deliberately created by Governments to persuade their publics to follow a certain policy. Normally, it involves creating a terrorist incident which can then be blamed on their selected ‘ enemy ‘ so that these policies can be enacted with full public support. It is suspected that 9/11, 7/7 bombing in London and the Madrid bombings were false flags which gave the western world the authority to invade foreign countries and also engendered an atmosphere of fear, which allowed the authorities to take draconian powers for themselves.

According to Dr Carol Rosin, Werner von Braun, the renowned German rocket scientist who was instrumental in the German V2 programme and also the Saturn V rocket which landed men on the moon, told her that there was a three stage programme which would allow some form of totalitarian Government world to take control. The first stage was a terrorist threat, followed by threats to Earth from asteroids and finally a fake alien invasion Dr Rosin does not seem to have any ulterior motive in releasing this information and I think it can be taken seriously, especially as the first part is true and we are warned continuously of the dangers of asteroids.

In the last year, we have had the Vatican announcing that they now believe it is possible alien life exists elsewhere in the Universe and Stephen Hawking making a declaration that alien life may be malevolent, which should be avoided if at all possible. NASA and the other space agencies have been making non stop announcements concerning new planets that have been discovered, and also discovery of water on Mars and the Moon, which hints at the possibility of some form of basic life being within the water. There have been a plethora of sightings of UFOs across the globe with strange craft being reported over major areas of population.

A few years ago, I heard the theory that the 2012 London Olympics may be the site for alien contact and to be honest I was very sceptical about this possible event until I came across this official London 2012 video:

The world’s governments have shown that virtually nothing is beyond them in their addiction to power and control. A fake alien invasion would be the ultimate threat to the human race and give them the excuse to introduce a totalitarian world government with the pretence that a draconian curtailment of civil liberties is necessary.

Arise, then, women of this day! Arise all women who have hearts, whether our baptism be that of water or of fears!

Say firmly: “We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies. Our husbands shall not come to us, reeking with carnage, for caresses and applause. Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn all that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.

We women of one country will be too tender of those of another country to allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs. From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with our own. It says “Disarm, Disarm! The sword of murder is not the balance of justice.”

Reflecting on Mother’s Day and War

The original idea of Mother’s Day was to promote peace so mothers would not have to suffer the grief that many American moms faced after the slaughter of the Civil War.

Recall that Mother’s Day was originated by Juliet Ward Howe not to fill restaurants or boost the stock of Hallmark cards but as an anti-militarism effort, to further the cause of peace.

In her 1870 Proclamation, Howe, after witnessing the suffering and horrors of the Civil War, laid the foundation for the theory that women as the more “tender” sex and better teachers of charity, mercy and patience, would naturally, if they gained power, put an end to the senselessness of wars.

However 142 years later, we see that the five most powerful women thus far in U.S. history, at a time when the United States has climbed to “military superpower” status in the world, are: Madeleine Albright, Condi Rice, Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and Samantha Power. All are mothers (except Condi Rice)— and all are proving Howe’s theory completely wrong with their pronounced attitudes, actions and instigation of wars during the last two decades. This would probably make the founder of “Mothers Day for Peace” turn over in her grave.

In fact, defining aspects of these five most powerful women’s career stances and orientation towards military power jump out of their Wikipedia bios to vie with Henry Kissinger’s cold calculated Machiavellianism.

Feminizing War Does Work!

To sell it. Feminine faces and talk of noble humanitarian intentions prove useful as they serve to effectively soften and cover up the brutal bloodshed of U.S. wars and indiscriminate aerial and drone bombing that have killed countless civilians.

But this is not “soft power” or use of brains over brawn. The feminist war hawks don’t want to talk about the women and children victims of war — or even count them — any more than their male counterparts.

Perhaps due to naïveté or the sentiment expressed in Howe’s Peace Proclamation, many progressives and “liberal human rights” groups unfortunately are blindly swallowing, for instance, Power’s insidious but seductive “humanitarian war” theory which relies on sleight of hand utilitarianism and the concocting of a happy (but false or unprovable) outcome to divert attention away from unlawful, immoral, brutal means.

The female “humanitarian” warhawks’ insistence that NATO bombing of Libya “prevented another Rwandan massacre” works in much the same way as “ticking time bomb” utilitarians like Dick Cheney dupe their own base by claiming to have prevented another terrorist attack through water-boarding.

People generally so want to believe in happy endings that they don’t carefully look at the (wrongful) means being used.

In actuality, the U.S.-NATO bombing for regime change killed tens of thousands of Libyans and installed a puppet government that is still reportedly committing human rights abuses. For a comprehensive refutation of “humanitarian military intervention” see “‘Responsibility to Protect” as Imperial Tool: the Case for a Non-Interventionist Foreign Policy” by Jean Bricmont (Feb, 2012) for an expose of how instituting harsh economic sanctions on Syria, said to be for “humanitarian purposes” actually encourage the very violence – if starvation and disease constitute violence – that their proponents claim to oppose.

Senator Jim Webb and Congressman Walter Jones have concerns about the ease of “humanitarian war” and are not so easily charmed or misled. They are to be praised for having introduced legislation to make it impossible for Obama to launch preventive military actions based merely on findings by Samantha Power’s Board without congressional approval per the Constitution. Unfortunately, the Obama Administration has previously claimed this power.

When Mothers Need to Prove Their Toughness

Getting back to the issue of Mothers Day for Peace, were Juliet Ward Howe’s notions (or hopes) about women just over-romantic? Or is there another explanation for why and how liberal expectations could be so off-base vis a vis the reality of the current crop of increasingly powerful feminist war hawks? (Feminist war-hawks who have overcome their male military colleagues’ reluctance to wage preventive war?!)

One possible explanation might lie in the kind of “Napoleonic Complex” that tends to force the first women pioneers entering a previously male-dominated profession or area to prove themselves as tough or tougher than the men.

Theoretically Juliet Ward Howe could still be right about the potential of a new women-inspired/initiated era for peace down the road. The need to prove “toughness” might lead the “weaker gender” to over-compensate for a time, but only until there are equal or greater numbers of women at the highest levels of governmental command. At the present time, sadly enough, I see only more female war-hawks knocking on the gates of power.
